FAQ and Code of Conduct

Here are answers to some common questions, as well as a few basic ground rules governing the use of The Greenhouse, a co-working space for nonprofits.

Who is eligible to use The Greenhouse?
The Greenhouse is available to any organization in the nonprofit community, including registered nonprofits, nonprofit technology providers and consultants.

How do I book a reservation?
The Greenhouse is available on a first-come, first-served basis via online reservation. Any organization looking to use the space must have a confirmed reservation in advance. An iATS Payments team member will work with you to review your requirements, provide options and confirm your reservation. We'll do our best to accommodate all requests as we receive them.

Can I book outside of office hours?
For access control and security purposes, The Greenhouse is available for bookings during office hours only (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm Pacific).

How long can I book a reservation for?
We offer daily reservations (one reservation for one room for one day). You may book a maximum of two consecutive days, if you wish, subject to availability.

Can I book a recurring reservation?
Absolutely. You can request a maximum of one booking per month for a total of three months in advance. Subject to availability, you can also re-book your recurring reservation on a rolling three-month basis. This is ideal for recurring meetings, such as board meetings.

What can I use The Greenhouse for?
The Greenhouse is intended for typical office activities that you'd see in a co-working space, including planning sessions, workshops, group meetings, board meetings, training sessions and the like. As part of the registration process, we'll understand how you wish to use the space and will do our best to accommodate. However, we reserve the right to refuse reservations, if deemed appropriate. If you're planning to bring equipment with you, please let the iATS Payments team know, as our building has certain restrictions in place with the elevator.

What do I do when I arrive?
Upon arrival, your group will be required to sign in. Access cards will be assigned and you'll be given a tour of the facilities. Your group's primary contact will be responsible for ensuring all members of your group arrive together, or, if that's not possible, for coordinating sign-in with group members.

Can I bring my own food and beverages?
As part of your reservation, you have access to shared kitchen facilities, including a fridge, dishware, glassware, silverware and an open seating/serving area. You're welcome to have your event catered or bring your own food and beverages into the space on a self-serve basis. Please note: Serving alcohol will not be permitted in The Greenhouse. If you're planning to serve food and beverages at your event, please discuss with the iATS Payments team.

What if I need to present on a TV screen or host a call?
As part of your reservation, you have access to Wi-Fi internet and flat screen TVs with streaming and teleconference capabilities. Please indicate any technology requirements you have when booking your reservation and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Cleanliness
Our goal is to provide access to clean, modern spaces to our nonprofit community. The expectation is all groups will leave the spaces as they found them.

  • Tables and chairs are returned to their original position.
  • Any refuse and recyclables are put in the appropriate place.
  • Any dishware, glassware and silverware are returned to the kitchen and put in the dishwasher.
  • Tables and counters are wiped clean.
  • Whiteboards are erased.
  • Anything placed in the fridge is removed.
  • The space is generally clean and tidy.
