FAQ and Code of Conduct

NOTE: Due to COVID-19, we are not accepting bookings for the Greenhouse at this time.

Here are answers to some common questions, as well as a few basic ground rules governing the use of The Greenhouse, a co-working space for nonprofits.

Who is eligible to use The Greenhouse?
The Greenhouse is available to any organization in the nonprofit community, including registered nonprofits, nonprofit technology providers and consultants.

How do I book a reservation?
Due to COVID-19, we are not accepting bookings for the Greenhouse at this time.

Can I book outside of office hours?
For access control and security purposes, The Greenhouse is available for bookings during office hours only (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm Pacific).

How long can I book a reservation for?
We offer daily reservations (one reservation for one room for one day). You may book a maximum of two consecutive days, if you wish, subject to availability.

Can I book a recurring reservation?
Absolutely. You can request a maximum of one booking per month for a total of three months in advance. Subject to availability, you can also re-book your recurring reservation on a rolling three-month basis. This is ideal for recurring meetings, such as board meetings.

What can I use The Greenhouse for?
The Greenhouse is intended for typical office activities that you'd see in a co-working space, including planning sessions, workshops, group meetings, board meetings, training sessions and the like. As part of the registration process, we'll understand how you wish to use the space and will do our best to accommodate. However, we reserve the right to refuse reservations, if deemed appropriate. If you're planning to bring equipment with you, please let the iATS Payments team know, as our building has certain restrictions in place with the elevator.

What do I do when I arrive?
Upon arrival, your group will be required to sign in. Access cards will be assigned and you'll be given a tour of the facilities. Your group's primary contact will be responsible for ensuring all members of your group arrive together, or, if that's not possible, for coordinating sign-in with group members.

Can I bring my own food and beverages?
As part of your reservation, you have access to shared kitchen facilities, including a fridge, dishware, glassware, silverware and an open seating/serving area. You're welcome to have your event catered or bring your own food and beverages into the space on a self-serve basis. Please note: Serving alcohol will not be permitted in The Greenhouse. If you're planning to serve food and beverages at your event, please discuss with the iATS Payments team.

What if I need to present on a TV screen or host a call?
As part of your reservation, you have access to Wi-Fi internet and flat screen TVs with streaming and teleconference capabilities. Please indicate any technology requirements you have when booking your reservation and we'll do our best to accommodate.
