World Blood Donor Day
In June, we acknowledge some truly special awareness days. World Blood Donor Day on June 14th is celebrated by one of our amazing clients, Lifestream Blood Bank.
LifeStream Blood Bank is a local, nonprofit blood bank that provides blood products and services to more than 80 southern California hospitals and medical facilities in six counties. To fulfill patient needs, LifeStream must collect 500 blood donations daily.
The day provides a special opportunity to celebrate and thank voluntary blood donors around the world for their gift of blood and has become a major focus for action toward achieving universal access to safe blood transfusion. The slogan for the 2023 World Blood Donor Day campaign is “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.”
